The Chanter is a melee-skill-oriented class, and in an emergency the Chanter can turn toward his nearest enemy and unleash close-quarters carnage. Many of the Chanter's offensive melee abilities also cripple and debuff the target.

The Chanter's casting ability is limited to lesser heals than that of a cleric and some lesser direct-damaging spells than that of a cleric. In comparison to the Cleric, Chanters exchange some of their magical ability to melee prowess.

In group settings, the Chanter is oftentimes on the front lines dealing some damage and renewing Mantras for the benefit of his party. The Chanter can keep short-duration Heal-Over-Time effects going to ease the burden of the other healers, and can channel some directly-healing spells of his own in dire need.

Armor Proficiencies: Cloth Armor, Leather Armor, Chain Armor (Level 10), Shield

Chanter Strengths: High Armor, Shield Usability, Moderate Healing Ability, Moderate Melee Ability, Chants, Buffs

Chanter Weaknesses: Low Magic Defense, Low Magic Damaging Ability
